MAST
MAST is a mural painter and commercial artist from New York. He started making a name for himself in New York City's graffiti scene in the early 1990s, earning a reputation for coupling aggressive letters and stylized characters. His attention to detail and focus on graffiti letterforms give his work a foundation in traditional style writing as he continues to hone the illustrative vocabulary of his visual language.
His past life as an editorial art director instills a sensitivity to type, composition, and color that informs the continued evolution of his fine art and large-scale mural work. MAST was awarded 1st place in the 2014 ONO’U International Graffiti Festival in Tahiti and 1st place for letters again in '15. His mural festivals include ONO’U (Tahiti), Rust Magic (Canada), Futura Arts (Mexico), Mural Masters (Washington State), Rooftop Legends (New York City) and most recently, a collaborative mural for the Museum of Graffiti in Miami, Florida.
MAST will be on Team Bahrain as part of the Next Level Aerosol Edition and will be on Next Level New Zealand.
