KAYKAY 47

Kaykay47 is an Artivist (Artist + Activist) from the Bronx who boldly creates passion and joy through movement. She has an outstanding number of experiences in her artistry as a DJ, from DJing at many events around the world, to facilitating workshops on the foundations of Hip Hop which includes DJ skills to promote social emotional learning. She sees music, especially Hip Hop, as a tool of resistance and a form of resilience for marginalized groups of people. With her Masters of Social Work (and soon to be LMSW), she integrates social work and Hip Hop culture, specifically DJing to create a sense of community and an outlet for young people and adults to express themselves freely.
