Global 2015

From April 7th to April 17th 2015, six Hip Hop artists traveled to Washington, DC, as part of the Next Level program. Dancer Andjelko “Angelo” Pavlovic (Serbia), DJ Zlatko “DJ Zlijay” Durkovic (Bosnia), Beatmaker Nyari “FTR” Mazango (Zimbabwe), MC Astou “Toussa” Gueye (Senegal),  MC Asiful “Black Zang” Islam Sohan, and Singer Malabika Brahma joined together to learn more about Hip Hop through workshop and practice, perform for audiences and collaborate with local artists to promote cross-cultural artistic exchange and conflict transformation. The team is part of a Next Level international contingent of MCs, DJs, beatmakers, and Hip Hop dancers recruited from Next Level countries. See more videos of the team performing here.
