DJ Akshen
Jonathan “DJ AKSHEN” Valdez is an award-winning DJ from Arizona. His creative mixing and crowd-pleasing selections prove why he was crowned Regional Red Bull 3Style Champion in 2015. DJ Akshen went on to represent Phoenix, Arizona, and compete for the USA title. Globally, he is a special guest DJ for Disney Cruise Lines. As an artistic influencer, he has shared the stage with Lord Finesse, DJ Qbert, and Z-Trip. When DJ Akshen is not behind the turntables, he can be found hosting Fader Manners, an open turntable monthly he co-founded, or at The Scratch Exchange, an all-vinyl scratch battle he created in 2013. DJ Akshen has had the privilege of judging, hosting, competing, and organizing multiple DJ battles. He has shared his knowledge of DJing with organizations such as the YMCA, numerous after-school programs, and universities such as Scottsdale Community College, Grand Canyon University, and most recently Arizona State University's Urban Arts Club. DJ Akshen is also a member of the Furious Styles Crew, an international collective of dancers, DJ’s and artists with chapters in Denmark, Spain, & the United States.
