D.GALE

D.Gale is a professional muralist, teaching artist, and community organizer based in New York City. She utilizes art as a powerful tool to build community, raise awareness about social and environmental justice issues, and heal collective trauma.

D.Gale has spearheaded over twenty socially engaged public art installations with the Harlem Art Collective and has worked as lead teaching artist on seventeen youth-led murals in New York City and abroad. Kristy has participated in mural festivals both locally and on the international level, including Akumal Festival de Arte in Mexico, Amazonarte in Peru, and Indomita Festival de Arte Urbano in Ecuador. She is a recipient of the 2019 New York City Council Proclamation and City Council Citation and has been recognized by the Consulate of Ecuador for her work with Fiesta de Colores following the 2016 earthquake.
